Description
2012 Château Corton Grancey Grand Cru, Burgundy.
The 2012 Château Corton Grancey Grand Cru of Louis Latour is a delicious and ample Burgundy wine. Grancey was the name of the last proprietors of the Château (located on the route des Cortons) before the Latour family purchased it in 1891. This unique wine is the combination of four Corton Grand Cru climats (lands with unique combination of weather conditions and soil composition): Les Bressandes, Les Perrières, Le Clos du Roi and Les Grèves. After an individual ageing, the best barrels where put together to create the Château Corton Grancey Grand Cru. The wine reveals a carmine-tinted ruby red colour. The nose gives off subtle liquorice and Morello cherry fragrances. On the palate, this 2012 Château Corton Grancey Grand Cru delicately expresses intense red berry and cinnamon aromas. The nervous structure and the silky tannins finish exalting this wine.
