Description
A fresh and complex vintage Extra-Brut champagne
The producer
Since its creation in 1834, the Boizel Champagne House has been renowned for its refined champagnes, stemming from the finest Champagne vineyards. Although the house reigns over its own vineyard of around 7 hectares, it also sources its grapes from partner winegrowers.
Florent and Lionel Roques-Boizel represent the sixth generation at the head of the family business.
The wine
Grand Vintage by Boizel is produced exclusively in exceptional years. Boasting an utterly sophisticated and ageworthy expression, this 2012 vintage is made from the finest terroirs of Champagne (Cumières, Mailly, Vertus, Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Chouilly and Pierry).
Aged for 7 years on its lees, the dosage of this champagne is 4 g/litre.
Vinification and ageing
Only the juice from the first press is used in the production of this cuvée.
The blend
Pinot Noir (50%)
Chardonnay (40%)
Pinot Meunier (10%).
