The estate
Founded in 1808, the Champagne Henriot House has established itself as a reference in the champagne world. Located in the heart of the region, it has successfully combined heritage and modernity, shaping over generations a unique history where each era has enriched an exceptional legacy.
The vineyard
The Maison Henriot's parcels flourish on the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs. On these emblematic Champagne terroirs, the alchemy between climate, soils and expertise gives birth to excellent grapes, true pillars of each cuvée's identity.
The wine
Carried through eight generations, the House preserves a rare heritage of bottles carefully kept, witnesses to its expertise. Since the first vintage of 1921, the "Mémoires" collection has grown, each bottle resting in the calm and coolness of the cellars, symbol of a constant demand for quality and elegance.
After several decades of rest in the cellar, Alice Tétienne, Chef de Caves, selects a specific vintage to illustrate a new chapter in Henriot's history. Each bottle is first tasted individually, then disgorged manually according to traditional expertise. After a few additional months of rest, the champagne fully reveals itself, allowing to appreciate all the richness of its journey.
The vintage
The year 1970 was exceptional, with a mild and warm climate favoring beautiful maturation. The harvest, started on September 27, offered generous yields and grapes with promising aromas for great wines.
Grape varieties
Pinot noir and chardonnay from the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs.
