Drappier Champagne House’s 2008 Grande Sendree Rosé is 92% Pinot Noir and 8% Chardonnay. This Champagne rosé is named after a parcel covered in ashes following the fire that ravaged Urville in 1836. A typo occurred during the re-writing of the land registry leaving Sendrée spelled with an “s” instead of “c”.

The excellent 2008 vintage exudes a complex nose, opening with strawberry, raspberry, and violet notes, as well as light toasted notes. Round, supple, complemented with a vibrant spine that brings tension to the whole, the rich and complex palate of this 2008 Grande Sendree is reminiscent of red fruits: rich Champagne, very persistent.
